At the heart of the Eduniversal ranking system is a commitment to recognizing and promoting excellence in global business education. This process is guided by a clear and rigorous methodology, designed and overseen by an expert body.
The Eduniversal International Scientific Committee
The International Scientific Committee (ISC) is composed of 12 members: two Eduniversal executives, nine independent academic experts representing each of the world’s major regions and 1 recognized authority in business education innovation. Together, they ensure the transparency, consistency, and academic integrity of the Eduniversal system.

A Comprehensive Global Evaluation
Founded in Paris in 1994, Eduniversal has been a leader in higher education evaluation, expanding internationally since 2007.
Its rankings are built on a blend of quantitative and qualitative data, used to determine which schools are selected for inclusion.
National education spending per capita
GDP per capita
Population size
Number of higher education students
The number of graduate institutions
The historical strength of a country’s academic tradition
This combination allows Eduniversal to assign a quota of schools per country, ensuring fair representation across all regions.

Palmes of Excellence: A Unique Ranking Approach
Once selected, schools are grouped into five tiers called Palmes of Excellence, which reflect their international influence, reputation, and reach.
What makes the Eduniversal system unique is its horizontal approach:
Rather than comparing schools globally in a single list, schools are ranked within their own country and within their Palme level—allowing for fairer comparisons and greater recognition of regional strengths across 9 global zones.
Peers Recognition Through the Deans’ Vote
The final step in the ranking is the Deans’ Vote, a peer-based process that brings credibility and depth to the evaluation.
Each year, deans from the 1000 ranked business schools are invited to vote for other institutions they recommend in their region and around the world.
These votes shape the final rankings within each Palme category and country - making Eduniversal the only system that reflects academic reputation as judged by fellow deans.
The result is a truly global, collaborative, and inclusive ranking system—one that guides students, supports institutions, and connects the best in business education across continents.
